Founder & Editor-in-Chief
Meghana is the founder of Student Medical Insights, where a team of high school student writers connects classroom science with real-world medicine and discovery. As the head of the editorial team, she reviews all submissions for accuracy and originality.
SMI began as a personal writing project — a place to explore topics like neuroscience, immunology, and public health through a student's lens. It quickly became clear that other students felt the same way, and the site grew from a solo blog into a genuine collaborative platform, bringing together writers, researchers, and reviewers from across different grade levels.
"I believe that students have unique perspectives on medicine and health. We don't just learn from textbooks — we ask the questions that spark real understanding."
Megh's vision for SMI is ambitious: to build the largest student-led medical publication in existence, to inspire a new generation of future healthcare professionals, and to prove — once and for all — that age is no barrier to the impact you can have. Every article published here is a small step toward that goal.
